This list is an adaptation of one played by Paul (Planned Exploder) from our local group in Bondi Junction. It's pretty strong against some of the popular Legacy decks out there, but obviously susceptible to spread damage such as Thermal Detonators.

It runs lean, with nothing over 2 cost. Getting out a couple of early upgrades, such as the re-deployable E-11 Blaster or the damaging Fragmentation Grenades will leave you opponent with plenty of dice to deal with.

I have left out Endless Ranks and Separatist Landing Craft for the simple reason that resources are better spent on getting damaging upgrades and supports onto the table. 5 resources for Endless, or hoping that you can roll into the Craft special did not seem good value, and the Craft wasn't very successful in testing.

The powerful cards are Lookout Post (2 +3 sides) and Scorched Earth. Both require control of the battlefield to play, but are assisted by the ambush card Lockdown.

Scorched Earth is the closer. Assuming your opponent is spreading your indirect damage, they'll likely be rolling in 6+ dice towards the end of the game. Special chaining decks like all their dice in the pool, Seventh Sister OTK will be rolling in 6+ dice by herself. As you'd have lost a few droids by this stage, 6+ damage for 2 resources out of hand, can be devastating to your opponent!

It's a simple and fun deck to play!

I heard you don't like cake... what's that about?

scubafinch 168

Tis true! Please evaluate this deck knowing that was place here by a dirty cake hater!

Wingman speeds this deck up a LOT.

scubafinch 168

I tested Wingman and it does give you the boost in speed. The only issue I have with it is whether it removes the advantages of having guardian if you get Fort Anaxes - Anaxes. Being able to guardian base damage is really advantageous.

I’m working on a indirect damage deck myself, only Hero side right now. Definitely will give this a shot for a villain version.

Only suggestion I have would be to add something like Target Intel that will allow you to choose where that damage goes for a killing blow.

This is interesting. It goes in a completely different direction than I went with my Droid deck. I basically went the Support route, attempting to get as many droids in play as possible, whilst finishing with heavy hitter supports. Take a look:

Another couple cards I just thought of that may benefit your deck are Separatist Landing Craft and Command Bridge. The first let’s you add another droid and the second allows you to activate 2 droids at once. Just a couple options to try if you find you need more droids in the mix and/or quicker activation. Really like the idea of this deck so I hope you don’t mind the suggestions. =)

@Boba-Todd Suggestions are always great!

Target Intel could work here as it fits the low cost model. Getting that off on a Fragmentation Grenade's 3 side would be handy.

I wrote a bit about the Separatist Landing Craft in the notes above. My issue is that it is hard to get the special off in Droids only deck. No focus, resource cost and it's often the first target for removal should you hit the special (1/6). All for 6 extra health. I like the idea of the craft, but in a different villain deck I think.

Boba-Todd 1

Good points on the Separatist Landing Craft. I didn’t think about the probability of hitting that special. I agree it’s not worth the card space in this deck.

Interesting. Mine is more support focused. Sonic Cannon is brutal in this deck

you should really consider using squad tactics in this deck it would be very beneficial

scubafinch 168

Thanks @vonmilla. I did test Squad Tactics, but I have found that I get a bigger benefit from having Guardian than I do for activating all of the droids at once. As they have a decent chance of "missing", you want to re-roll anyway. Their 50% chance of hitting indirect gives you a little bit of chaining. It's a card that works though, and I would consider removing No Survivors for it as I use that the least in this deck.

vonmilla 7

that makes a lot of scence to me thank you.

vonmilla 7

no survivors only really makes science if you have dice that deal damage to all of an opponents characters.

I was playing a similar deck today with my brother. I found it to move very quickly and, almost always, I was able to claim the battlefield. I highly recommend a more aggressive battlefield like Carbon-freezing Chamber - Bespin. That put in a lot of work for me. Squad Tactics was also pretty good.

Do you tend to spread the damage out as much as possible or just work to try take out one droid at a time? ie. guardian as much as possible to kill of one of your guys?

scubafinch 168

I tend to spread the damage around. However if you have 2 or more of Aftermath or Attrition out, then it may be worth killing one of your own droids for the effect. If the opponent doesn't try to kill the droids off one by one, Strength in Numbers becomes very powerful.
