Hello all. I've been tinkering with Lando Calrissian - Galactic Entrepreneur through a few deck builds and this is one that I like a lot for its surprise value. There are no upgrades which serves two purposes--protection from upgrade-specific cards (such as the battleground itself, Cargo Hold - Eravana) and all the supports stay in play when characters are defeated. It's a slow deck but ultimately, end of rounds will have the opponent watching as you build board state and eventually unleash Flanking Maneuver and Planned Explosion to knock out opposing characters. You can do some damage with the supports and characters, and a fair amount with Double-Cross and Reversal. Rebel lets you do any of these things repeatedly, as game flow dictates. Lando is the money maker, along with Supply Line and Smuggling Freighter (also a good anti-mill card). There is no shortage of resources unless a bad draw or quick Lando kill suppresses development. The play is straightforward--maximize use of defensive cards to protect Lando as long as possible, build game state, and usually by turn 3/4 you're ready to offload some potentially serious damage. Getting 5+ supports in play allows for large Flanking Maneuvers, which can be repeated with Rebel. In a perfect scenario, Planned Explosion can then be played after the FMs to wipe out another enemy with all the dice. I've had a game where I got 3 Reversals off in one round to defeat an enemy with their own dice. The deck has options, though it doesn't like to lose cards out of hand due to discard. Last note, it's a "cheap" deck to build, with only one Legendary (Chopper, which is easily replaceable with another C3P0--an Allstar in this game--or a Medical Droid). That's it, give it a drive and see what it's all about. Thanks.

Update: Played in a 4 round swiss tournament this evening, went 3-1 vs Cienna/Nightsister/Bala, Riekkan/Jedi Instructor/Padme and 2xPalpatine. Split the games with the emperor, survived the mill (freighter came through to win the game in final round) and survived the damage deck. A fair showing thus far, more tweaks to be made....

This deck has played strong in many matches. It gets hurt by discard out of hand to a certain degree and I've considered putting in some card drawing--either to protect against discard or to get more cards to spend all of Lando's money on since he generates a lot of resources, especially once Supply Lines/Smuggling Freighters are in play. It's deceptively capable and, if the first couple rounds go according to plan (Lando lives, supports being played) then the mid-game gets brutal, with combinations of 20-30 damage possible to wipe out opposing teams.
