Since Kes's Ability only works on Trooper Die, this deck has 5 dice upgrades, with 2 Conscript Squad, and focuses more on controlling the battlefield, bursting damage, and doing damage out of hand.
If you for some reason don't get the battlefield there is a backup with rex's blaster pistol. The idea is to get as many dice out at once so that it's easier to do an 'All in' with Kes's ability. The Conscript Squad works perfectly with this since it is also a Trooper die.
Cards to hard mulligan for first hand are Conscript Squad, First Aid, and preferably Measure for Measure since it's a free cost removal.
Best combo would be getting Sieze the Day, use the power action of Military Camp - Kaller, roll both characters and Conscript Squad reroll any blanks, then use Kes Dameron - Courageous Sergeant's action and focus into damage that can't be avoided.
Turns where you get Rout, hopefully you have an upgrade or two, or a conscript squad out, because you can get 6 dice out in one move with BF or rex's blaster pistol, then remove 2 dice when they roll out.
Hostile Takeover is to counter some of the Armored Reinforcement decks by resolving a Shadow Caster against them, or Vader's Fist
Intense Fire is for sneaky damage on non-trooper dice (majority of the time), after you have remaining damage showing after using kes's action.
Some cards I'm not sure of yet are Ammo Reserves, and Rout since I want to resolve fast and not leave my dice in the pool
Weaknesses for this deck is disruption from hand or resources, as well as opponent hand knowledge. Other than that it's bursty, and tanky. Have fun!

On the upside the Sieze the Day combo works amazing, and Conscript Squad is also a must include. |
It's a combo that seems to have gone under the radar in quite a few discussions until recently. I was lucky enough to grab a pair of Kes dice in a draft on release but still haven't had a chance to roll them out (such is life). This looks like a good build to me. Unfortunately, I don't have many of the additional cards you're showing... Let me know how you go with this please, I'm genuinely interested.
