This is a really annoying deck to play against. DJs ability is insane if you're getting consistent removal, coupled with the fact that his dice while elite are pretty powerful. You'll often find yourself rolling double 2 ranged.

With that being said DJ will most likely be the target, and you'll want to keep him alive, Armored Plating should go on him if you have both him and Phasma on the field. If DJ becomes too heavey a target throw upgrades on Phasma to make her more enticing (and powerful).

Removing dice is the engine of this deck, you'll want to hard mulligan for Streetwise your first hand as it'll help you play your powerful yellow removals like Reversal and Entangled while leaving resources for other cards or upgrades during the late game. Reversal is seriously a life saver. I won at my LGS by throwing back TWO 6 ranged dice at my opponent (two separate games), killing one character and then pinging DJs ability for the 1 indirect for a whopping 7 damage...all for the price of one or two resources (have Streetwise out).

I chose Fort Anaxes for the battlefield because 1. You won't be claiming very often given the fact that you'll be removing a ton of dice and 2. It doesn't help your opponent much at all, but it helps you. Go ahead and guardian on Phasma for 1 or 2 damage because guardian will also trigger DJs ability.

This deck easily tore through two Pryce Kylos at the SC I attended and killed a flavorful Jabba Talzin in the third round. I lost to Ezra Yoda Rookie vehicles during my last. Hero vehicles is the archetype that gives this deck the most trouble, as most hero vehicle decks are 3 wides with a lot of damage to soak up. Ill toss that loss up to half being shearly overwhelmed and half me not playing my removals wisely, this is before I had two Reversals in the deck as well. Play your remvoals wisely when facing vehicles!!! Don't be too eager to use your removals on character dice and don't be afraid to pass on actions so those powerful dice roll out!

I'd try out Free Fall. It could be a nice combo with another mitigation card to remove a bunch of dice at once.

@krez Thanks man! If I had to change anything about this deck I'd get rid of the On the Hunts and either add 2 Free Falls or 2 Backup Muscles. I'll test it out at my next LGS night.

Be careful with stuff like Free Fall in a DJ deck because you wouldn't get the ping damage as DJ - Treacherous Rogue only triggers when YOU remove your opponent's dice. With Free Fall they are the one doing the removing. I was playing around with a version with Nute Gunray - Separatist Viceroy and Blockade and I ran 2 Infamous in there to speed up and chain removal as well as the Frozen Wastes - Starkiller Base battlefield which was a really nice combo.

@Debaticus I had free fall in initially but removed it because of that. This deck can easily be switch out with either Nute or Cienna for the blockade. I'll be testing that soon as well

Nute is nice and obnoxious and can sometimes create a target because of that but if he doesn't and DJ goes down then he can't close on his own. I like the Phasma pairing a lot. I've been thinking about paring him with 7th sister too.

I play this couple too and whilst I haven´t had a SC yet the deck seems to have legs. The magic of DJ is that he gives you bonus for something you want to do anyway. There´s no need to warp the deck, only plan the curve to maximise removal.

You haven´t had fun with DJ until you Under Attacked into Bubble Shield. UA is really good with him. Especially vs as those dies have 1/3 1 sides.

Other stuff which I´ve found good with him: Underhanded Tactics (dead cheap and reliable damage die), Relentless Pursuit (tons of to move for a surprise kill)

So if anyone is seeing this now, I ended up removing Hasty Exit and added In The Crosshairs. You rarely have the battlefield in this deck for Hasty to be worth it.

I also took out On The Hunt and added in Backup Muscle. It helps with the Flank stall.
