Thrawn has always been one of my favorite characters. I've been thinking about different decks for him ever since Unkar was hit by the points increase. One of my favorite variations of Thrawnkar was "space boats" as it let me play for massive value no matter which side I hit. Now Thrawn is a little angrier ever since his main man was taken away so he's taken up training with laser swords. And who better to partner with than Kylo in wildly flinging lightsabers all over the place.

Early game: look for a chance cube and/or imperial discipline.* These allow for incredible amounts of resource generation to start piling upgrades onto Kylo. The first round or so won't be super productive other than gearing up for big swings.

Mid game: Our characters have likely been hit for a decent bit so it begins to become important to save up for the Rise Again for Kylo if he isn't dead or digging for upgrades that can go on Thrawn.

End game: Play as necessary depending on characters left.

*Imperial discipline's ability essentially acts as a free focus for chance cube or the resource sides on Thrawn. It's a little slower but the pay off is usually worth it.

The Battlefield is up for change, I was thinking along the lines that I could switch upgrades from character to character as one took on more damage. The bad side is that the opponent could potentially claim to mitigate a crucial die.

Please let me know what you'd change.

Redentor 109

I got wrecked by a KyloThrawn deck earlier today, and it made good use of Holocrons + Force Lightning. Is there a particular reason to not run those? I feel like Thrawn + 0 is a good way to clear the path of Rends if you're concerned about that.

This person also ran All Will Be Mine, which I feel is such a great one-of to swing a game out of nowhere. In a deck with Thrawn's resources, I definitely think it's justifiable.

Ancient Lightsaber also comes to mind. Just thoughts. I'm relatively new to Destiny, but Thrawn/Kylo looked very fun and potent from the other side of the table.

@Redentor I don't use the holocron et. al. primarily because I don't own them not due to any particular card. Also, I prefer sides I can modify for better burst damage. The deck is pretty fun to play and makes the most out of all of Thrawn's sides.
