Wookie Mosh Pit 2

My first build here. I;m a pretty new player trying to build theme decks for casual play. Looking for any and all feedback to help improve this deck.

Cody should be an elite, but the site isn't calculating the -1 that Cody is giving the Clone Trooper.

I haven't had a chance to play it yet, so I don't have any sense of how fast or slow this deck is. Thought I'd put it out there to hear people's thoughts first.

I'd bring in First Aid for Defiance, and A280 Blaster Rifle for EMP Grenades. If you have the Grenades in there for its special to take out a vehicle, Surgical Strike is a better way to accomplish that. I like Guerrilla Warfare in a casual red hero deck. You should get use out of Logistics. Since you only have one vehicle, I would remove Firepower and bring in Intense Fire.

Buffybot 323

Oh, and E-11 Blaster for Teamwork.

@Buffybot, thanks for the advice! I totally missed Surgical Strike. Awesome card! I'm also a little short on 2-cost red and neutral blasters because we got into the game during WotF. Good call on Logistics too!

Ramin2-D2 550

aside from the abovementioned. Hit And Run, Field Medic, First Aid.

another option could be not to use Solidarity so that you dont lose out on consistency. and instead make Rex elite rather than Cody.

Made some changes to squeeze in two more vehicles. I felt like 8 dice from upgrades/support wasn't quite enough. Updated deck: swdestinydb.com

-- Removed Teamwork -- Added Resistance Crait Speeder and T-47 Airspeeder. Not in the Clone Wars era, but it bumps up my damage output.

-- Removed Firepower, Hostile Takeover, The Day is Ours, and Defiance -- Added First Aid, Guerrilla Warfare, Surgical Strike

@Ramin2-D2, Thought long and hard about eRex over eCody, but I really liked Cody's special to help maintain control of Bendu's Lair - Atollon. Might switch if Cody keeps biting the dust.

Buffybot 323

I would second the eRex build. Cody's special is nice but the math is not favourable for it to pop up very often ... The eRex consistency will improve the overall deck performance, although you'll have some hard card choices to make!

Reworked an eRex version of this deck, which looks a lot more efficient. Rex's Blaster Pistol, Wingman, Take the Fight to Them, and Deployment help speed up the deck.

I have three possible upgrades per character.

I really like the Mortar Team/Lookout Post/Cover Team synergy, both in terms of game mechanics and in terms of theme flavor.

Finally, I have a small dice manipulation/mitigation package in Fleet Command, Logistics, Motivate, Reposition, and Suppression.

Just need to pare down five cards, but I can't decide which ones to cut. Should I reduce my support suite to one copy each?

I guess a link to the revised deck would be helpful too:

@Wookie Mosh Pit , i posted up my deck list I've used before. called "Attack Of The Clones". swdestinydb.com

i think Deployment and Wingman are not as good as Rex Blaster and Hit And Run. Also Reposition and Supression arent great.

Buffybot 323

I have a very similar deck to @Ramin2-D2's, although with a Jyn Erso's Blaster instead of the second Poe Dameron's Blaster, for its Redeploy and to avoid the potential dead draw of the second Poe Dameron's Blaster. I also have Logistics and Guerrilla Warfare instead of Fortuitous Strike because that card hurts my brain deciding which dice to reroll ...

Wookie Mosh Pit 2

@Ramin2-D2, nice deck! Much more focused than my revised deck. I removed Wingman, Reposition, and Suppression in favor of adding Hit and Run. Also, I like Deployment because I'm running seven supports, so it helps speed up my activation for all of them, if I get enough of them into play. I really like the Mortar Team/Lookout Post/Cover Team combo even though it might slow down the deck.

Your advice is valid though. Hit and Run is the better card. I have a game scheduled later this week to try my deck out. I can pull the Deployment if my Support suite sucks.

@Buffybot, I don't have a copy of Jyn Erso's Blaster, otherwise I'd run it. You think it's worth buying as a single for $20?

Wookie Mosh Pit 2

Oh, and here's my v3.0 of my deck after taking in all this feedback. I really appreciate the help with deck tuning:

Buffybot 323

If you're putting theme decks together for casual play, then no, I wouldn't shell out for a Jyn Erso's Blaster. Only your Holdout Blasters have Redeploy though, an E-11 Blaster would be a much cheaper addition, and it has no pay sides. The deck also looks very focused on doing its own thing with less ability to react your opponent's plays. Suppressive Fire would help with that.

Wookie Mosh Pit 2

@Buffybot, looking for some E-11 Blasters in the singles market. I definitely could use some more dice mitigation. Just having a hard time deciding which events to replace and what percentage of my events should be mitigation events.
