I came runner up with this mill deck at a recent store championship; losing to vehicle/droids in the final 2-1.
Firstly I will address the question of why single die Cassian and single die Annie.
There were 3 reasons:
- The simple fact that it’s an extra 7 health in a game where aggro and damage make the difference. Being able to take 7 more damage really helps when decks can throw out 8 to 10 in round 1.
- He’s another yellow character which keeps the spot yellow cards work. Second chance, Entangle and Easy Pickings all need having a yellow character so your opponent has to chew through 17 health (plus janky gimmicks) in order to turn them off.
- And possibly the most important, is being able to spot Anakin when resolving Anakin Skywalker’s Podracer.
I only had one Podracer card and now regret only having one in the deck. The games where I played it round 1 were far easier than those when I played it round 3. Plus Annie can turn it to any side when he activates. When Annie is in play the discard on the Podracer die becomes a 2 discard and in the late game deals with the usual anti-mill plays (like ancient lightsaber) by discarding from the deck when you resolve.
I only had one hyperspace jump and I rarely used it for most of my games. I used it once to end a game and twice to avoid lethal damage. My resource management was the biggest issue here.
I built this deck the night before the SC so I’m very surprised it did so well. I felt that thet were a couple of games where I was lucky and other games my opponent played badly against me (discarding to reroll for example).
I’ll do much more work on it and hopefully make it a bit more effective.

Are you serious, he literally addressed that above. |
cjfm I have edited the post since that comment was made which also includes a response. |

To be honest I didn't think too much about his position. My original intention was to have 3 x 10 point characters but I realised that I could have an elite 13 point and a 7 point character. All I knew was that I wanted a second yellow to support Cassian. I suppose it could have been Ezra but having seen the performance of the Podracer I wouldn't change it back. I figured that elite Yoda was better than elite Cassian. |
I hate this deck and I hate you :P |

I am salty. This deck is bad and you should feel bad. |
Bad as in it's bloody horrible to play against, and you should feel horrible :P |
Why did you use a single Anakin Skywalker - Podracing Prodigy instead of a second Cassian Andor - Rebellion Operative and Profitable Connection?
