This is basically the Zomb-guard deck that has been floating around. Was really looking forward to pairing Cassian with Finn but I found him less consistent especially if Big Cass is rolling the double discards every turn. Hence why Poe is in here. Since the Tournament I have swapped out the planetary uprisings for Let the Wookie win to give a bit more mitigation.
RD 1 eEzra/eBo-Khatan Ezra was dead by the end of rd 1 which didn't bode well for my opponent going forward. Damage rolls were able to be mitigated by my suppressive fire and honor guard working in tandem. Rd3 was the end for Bo as the two rebels were to much, not to mention indirect damage every dice from Cass. WINNER 1-0
Rd 2 eRey/eAyala Game came down to the wire after Cassian was dispatched with by Rd 3. Losing the battle field roll and playing on Obi-wans hut hurt especially early for my opponent to shield up the girls. Cassians ability basically kept being blocked by shields. He was able to whittle down Rey leaving it a 1V1 battle. An ancient heal was timely as In the end A solid damage roll and being two damage shy of finishing Ayala off put out "The Spark" LOSER 1-1
Rd 3 eAnakin2/eKylo2 This game was one I was dreading to face in tournament. The exact deck and player had gone down to the GQ in Seattle a month earlier going 5-1 and losing a close game to an Ezra/Sabine deck. Game started out back and forth with me pulling some timely mitigation and my opponent missing some key after the claim free rolls. He killed Poe just as Anakin went down leaving Kylo vs Big Papa Cass. The indirect damage was most certainly the MVP of the game. Leading to a poker face moment of having no resources one 3 damage dice showing on an X8 and my opponent contemplating to take the shield or not which would cover him for another turn. He chose to reroll and a Truce into the win left me thinking this deck might have something. WINNER 2-1
RD 4 eSnoke/e Cad Bane Alright we're both two and one and both need the win for not only the sweet Force speed mat but a shot at getting that spot gloss Ahsoka. Game was very much like the last one back and forth. Snoke died same turn as Poe, Second chance made him think otherwise about killing an almost dead Big Papa Pump Cass. The game was a longer one leading to both Cad and Cass on the brink of death. Cass however had enough firepower to take out Cad had my opponent not been milled before. SWWWWWEEEEEET WINNER 3-1
Due to strength of schedule I just missed the Ahsoka as the player wielding the Reyla deck took second. Congrats to all who played in the tournament. It was a really fun one and gave me a little confidence in a deck for the future store champs upcoming.
