Played this in a 14 person store championship. 3-1, got third, no top cut playoff

I went with this over 5-die for a couple of reasons, I wanted to try something new and I like the extra health. Veteran with 9 is good, after 2 TBD he still has 3 health instead of 1. The Mandalorian's power action is really intriguing and a lot of fun.

Round 1 - eBo-Katan/Gungan/Long-Term Plan (WIN) Not really sure what the plan was for this one.

Round 2 - ePlo/2xJedha Partisans (WIN) I absolutely hate playing against mill decks. I'm glad I was able to pull out the win on this one. I killed Plo at the end of round 2 and made short work of the Jedhas by round 4 and 5. I think I was down to about 6 cards left in my deck at the start of the last round. I was able to control is removal with Probe and FILP and pull out the win.

Round 3 - eCassian/eYoda (LOSE) Played against this player and deck in a tournament the night before and won pretty handily. The game didn't go my way this time. I did kill Cassian round 3 after getting though a second chance. There was a round after that came down him having resolved all of Yoda's dice (a force wave resolution had all my characters pretty low) and was sitting on 3 resources, with 4 cards in his hand. I hadn't activated anyone yet. I played had the Probe but missed the Hyperspace that I knew was there. He cast jump and the game was over after that. If I hit that this game goes differently I think. It was a good game nontheless. I'm pretty sure Cassian is WAY too cheap. And Second Chance is still stupid.

Round 4 - eKylo2/eSnoke (WIN) This was another one that I had played the night before, same player, same deck and won pretty easily. This win DID NOT come easy. This was probably one of the most intense games I've played in a long time. Lots of damage going back and forth. At one point I had Kylo at 9 damage, missed on Talzin to turn his resource die on Snoke to a blank so he resolved and got a Rise Again off, thankfully no upgrades in the discard, I was able to put 6 more damage into him, up to 10. Next round he was able to heal from Anicent and put 3 shields on Kylo. I rolled just enough to get him down. Now I'm staring Snoke with Ancient, Heirloom and Force Speed and 3 damage on him. My Trooper is dead (thanks to The Best Defense and baiting him into resolving 1+3 damage into it). My Commando is at 8 damage with a Force Illusion, DH and Vambraces, Mother had 1 or 2 damage no upgrades. There's about 3 minutes left in the round. If we go to time, I lose on damage. I was able to resolve a couple of damage into Snoke. Needing 5 more for the kill. Vambrace die on 1M, Commando die on 1disrupt, DH on Blank. Mother's die already resolved, I have 2 cards in hand a Crystal Ball and a Data Pad. He claims instead of healing. I discard to reroll, hit 2R, 1R for 4 damage. Then Power Action for the last one. It was an intense game.

Takeaways

Everyone goes for either Mother or Mandalorian first. Making The Best Defense the best removal, even after using both, he still has 3 health left and can't easily be pinged off against most decks. Plus that 3 Indirect side is really good when you get them down to 1 character.

Mandalorian Vambraces are really good.

Frighten and Triple Threat can probably go.

I came just to say, great deck name.

Drop it like it's Hutt 166

Very interesting concept. And +1 for great deck name.

I'd maybe keep Frighten. It's situational, but it won me a game the other night.

I had an opponent Dug In on me with 1 hp left. Frightened to remove the shields and Power Actioned a Commando to win the game. Felt good haha.
