When I saw the FFG post on the Portland Regional winners, I was immediately intrigued by the Talzin/Trooper/Trooper deck that won Day 1. I put a pretty janky one together and have been refining it for about 2 months now. This is where it stands now - almost a Trilogy deck except for the x2 The Best Defense... inclusion.

General aim is for large quantities of to hit the opponent hard, which is easy to achieve with Talzin's innate focus that the deck is built around, and the Armored Supports. I haven't seen Cover Team a whole lot in many other variations of this deck, but I find that if I have it out on turn 1 or 2 then it really ramps up the damage of the deck. When facing a 2-wide deck, it's often just as good as the infamous Sudden Impact.

I like to pilot this very slowly, because I'm often not going to be the quicker player anyway. I take it at a slower pace to work around cards like Easy Pickings and other control cards that wait for me to have better dice in the pool, but a Tactical Mastery + Locked and Loaded combo is the sweetest thing to pull against an opponent who thinks you're still plodding away. I should probably double down on Tac Mastery, and drop a Spell of Removal. On that note, however, I like having a strong control suite in this deck as opposed to excessive upgrades.

Petranaki Arena - Geonosis is a nice enough battlefield because on the odd chance that I do claim, its effect works nicely with a 27-health pool. If the opponent claims, they often aren't too keen on the effect unless it's at a key mid-late game moment to kill a character.

This deck mills itself. Pretty sure any decent Mill deck on the face of the planet could take me out by turn 3, haha. Anyway, I have a lot of fun with this deck, and it is able to really push a consistent spread of damage without much help. Comments and criticism very welcome. :)

You published it! This thing is scary, folks. I'm yet to build a deck that efficiently and consistently beats it.
