Small SC at TableTop Kingdom, the Hague, the Netherlands. We only had 6 players show up, so what we did was play round robin (5 games) and if any had the same result at the end they would have a finals match to decide the winner.

Round 1: Rey/Qui-Gon Started the day with a disastrous game. Vader was dead at the start of round 2 and Kylo had no upgrades. I did manage to kill Rey, but Qui-Gon easily mopped up. 0-1

Round 2: Rey/Snap/eMaz Another very lopsided game, but this time in my favor. I managed to kill both Rey and Snap on turn 2. Maz took a little longer because of Second Chance. MVP this match was Kylo, I think his specials did 13-15 damage this game. 1-1

Round 3: eJabba/Krennic Interesting match against a full on mill deck. Sadly for my opponent, this deck just kills Jabba way too fast. Jabba took 7 damage turn 1 and was dead by turn 2 and that was pretty much it, although he got me to only 3 cards left in the deck, it just wasn't enough. 2-1

Round 4: eBala/FN/Nightsister Kylo's specials are devastating against FN decks. Killed both Bala and FN in turn 3 I think, Nightsister turn 4. 3-1

Round 5: eFN/eJango Burst down FN, mop up Jango. Both Vader and Kylo were still alive and kitted out by the end of this game. 4-1

So after five rounds there were actually 2 people on 4-1. And to my surprise the Jabba/Krennic was the other. Which was rather fortunate for me, because I had feared to come up against Rey/Qui-Gon again, which is a really bad match-up for this deck.

Game was nothing like the first game we played, we had my battlefield this time, and I got a Mind Probe out round 1. Never played (or had to play) any other upgrades, just used Lightsabre Throw, Meditate and Emperor's Throne room to complement the damage I rolled naturally and it was over in just a few minutes and my third Store Championship title was a fact.

A few notes on the deck:

I took a look at many of the "Emo Kids" decks out there and decided to grab something from most of them and mash it into something I'm comfortable playing. I have credited the deck closest to this in the "derived from" section.

First the elephant in the room: there is no Vibroknife. Yes, that is correct. I tested the deck both with and without Vibroknife and found a couple of things, first, the damage output on Vibroknife isn't enough to warrant inclusion on it's own. Second it is too expensive for this deck, I want to use my resources to pay for events and the damage sides on both Kylo and Vader (Mind Probe occasionaly) and third it's a meta choice thing; there aren't alot of shield heavy decks being played at the moment, if you're in a meta that features a lot of Qui-Gon and Han definitely include it, but I don't see a lot of either. Another meta consideration; half the top decks at the moment play Imperial Inspection. I can barely afford playing Vibroknife once let alone having to play it more than once. And a final small consideration, it's not a blue card which makes No Mercy slightly less effective.

I did of course manage to face a Qui-Gon deck and got wrecked by it so to shore up this weakness I might end up adding one or two Intimidate. Not the best card in general, but it does provide a way to manage shields and is free to play and still blue. I'd probably drop the Anger or Feel Your Anger for it, which are by far the least used cards.

The whole Meditate/Holocron/Datapad package is ridiculous. There's always blanks to get specials and if there aren't you create one with Manipulate. Throw in Emperor's Throne room and it's just straight up ridiculous how fast this deck can ramp given Holocron and how fast it can dish out damage.
