The upgrades. This deck has 12 weapons to be put on FN-2199 - Loyal Trooper and 2 Personal Shield to put on Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer or FN-2199 - Loyal Trooper if he has no upgrades to help put the bigger upgrades. Holdout Blaster, Vibroknife, Vibroknucklers have the ambush ability which can makes you activate Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer after putting them on FN-2199 - Loyal Trooper. Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer is good for activating Salvage Stand or Imperial Inspection. If your opponent plays Vibroknife , wait until his character having Vibroknife is exausted before activating Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer.

On the support side, you have the 3 best supports in the game in my opinion. Imperial Inspection to put the 2 cost or less upgrades in the hand of your opponent and then use Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer ability to get them in the discard pile if you're lucky enough to discard them or if it's the last card in hand. Salvage Stand is so good with Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer that your opponent will only be able to play low-cost cards leaving him high-cost cards to discard for reroll or to give Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer ressources. Finally Backup Muscle help you do unblockables damages. You can get back your upgrades from your discard pile if you play your battlefield and don't activate your First Order Stormtrooper.

10 events to mitigate your opponent's dices should be enough. The 2 block are needed in the actual meta where most of the deck use Darth Vader - Sith Lord or Darth Vader - Dark Apprentice or FN-2199 - Loyal Trooper or Rey - Force Prodigy. Else, if you play against Poe Dameron - Ace Pilot or Captain Phasma - Elite Trooper, it will become dead cards for reroll but all your 28 other cards will see an occasion to be played.

Mulligan for 1 Imperial Inspection, 1 Salvage Stand and 1 mitigation card you can use turn 1. With 8 upgrades costing 2 and 6 upgrades costing 3, don't keep upgrades costing 3 to start with but keep 1 upgrade costing 2 so you have a chance to add it even while you mitigate 1 of your opponent dice because of the Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer ability adding ressources on first turn. The way I play it, I use Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer ability on dices I can't resolve or when my opponent has only 1 card left to stop him from rerolling or when I'm really in needs of ressources.

I've milled a qui-gon/rey once by blocking his damages with Block once and removing his cards in hand with Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer and abusing 2 Imperial Inspection almost each turn beginning on turn 2. That game, I had seen how this deck was powerful to control him returning most of their upgrade costing two or less in hand each turn. Because Darth Vader - Dark Apprentice has good dices side but no ressource side , those who play it does'nt put that much upgrades costing more than 2 except Mind Probe and Force Throw because of Sith Holocron so that helps me to control the board by returning Sith Holocron each times I can.

If you have questions on this deck, feel free to ask. I know there is another existing version without Personal Shield but when you can mitigate Vibroknife , I prefer this version. I tend to always try to put 3 shields on FN-2199 - Loyal Trooper and Unkar Plutt - Junk Dealer. The Best Defense... does no damage when you target your FN-2199 - Loyal Trooper having 3 shields. In absence of shields on him then the First Order Stormtrooper takes the damage. Sometimes, all my 3 characters gets 3 shields and it's then that you see shields can still make a difference if you can mitigate Vibroknife.
